(pictures update 9/22/08) Mercy is a 15 year old bay Quarter Horse/Arab cross. Mercy came to us along with two other horses. They were in horrid condition. Mercy was so emaciated we were honestly surprised she was still alive. She had a baby that was 2 years old and still nursing. Their owner kept them in a pen with no grass whatsoever. Its truely amazing they survived. Mercy's hooves where in horrible shape and she hadn't ever had her teeth floated and was in severe need of dental care. Her teeth had actually begun growing into her mouth causing her severe pain and infection. Mercy has since put on the pounds and has had extensive work done to her teeth. She is healthy and ready to have a permanant home. Mercy's adopter does need to understand that because of the previous lack of care of her teeth, she may need future dental care other then routine floating. Mercy is ridable however she is not recommended for an active rider. She would make an excellent companion for someone who wants a friend and to ride occasionally. Mercy needs a experienced slow hand, someone who will be patient as she learns to trust. Contact us if you may be interested in meeting with Mercy. Serious inquiries only please. Can't adopt me?
